The School of Visual Theater trains artists and professionals in fields ranging in the performing and visual arts. It is the only institution of its kind in Israel and among the few in the world offering inter-disciplinary studies of performance-art, movement theater, multimedia performance, video, puppetry, stage design visual art and others. Visual Theater is unique in combining performing and visual arts, thus creating a new theatric language in which every component - space, movement, voice or sound - may be as important as the actor and the human image.

YERMA
Creation and presentation: Maayan Resnik
The sketch deals with the conflictive relationship between two women. A mother-daughter type of relationship in which the mother (the puppet) is an ever present repressive element in the life of the daughter played by the real life puppeteer. The daughter strives for recognition and growth until the emotional forces change direction and the conflict is resolved. |

GRENDMA ON WHEELS
Creation and presentation: Ofir Zveibil
The sketch is about an old sweet lady (the puppet) and her much younger friend (the puppeteer), who takes her on a rollerblade lesson in the park. They talk all the time, the young man to convince the old lady to let go of her fears and the old lady how it was in the old times. Nostalgia of the past brings her memories of her late husband and the force of love. A force that now fills her with a surprising courage. |

LIPS
