The Puppetry Art Department, located in Białystok, of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz State Theatre Academy of Warsaw offers individual artistic training for:

• students and young lecturers of academies of art
• puppeteers who want to develop their puppetry skills
• those interested in educational and artistic work within puppet theatre

Duration of an individual artistic training: from 1 to 9 months.

A training course lasting 1 term (= a half of an academic year) or 2 terms (= 1 academic year) may form a basis for replacing a semester or a full year in the applicant's school of puppetry art, depending on a formerly concluded agreement between the schools.

In each case, the decision on admitting a candidate to an individual training is made by the Dean of the Puppetry Art Department in Białystok, acting upon the opinion of the Department's Board.

Application should include:

• a letter explaining the applicant's artistic training to date and the subject area(s) with if possible a syllabus outline
• CV (with emphasis on artistic activities)
• a letter of recommendation from the applicant's college (or UNIMA centre or other theatre institution)

Each trainee will have an individual artistic tutor and a detailed syllabus, in accordance with a planned subject area and the curriculum of the Puppetry Art Department.

Under special circumstances, the cost may be reduced and, with reference to bilateral contracts, the training may work reciprocally.

The Puppetry Art Department can assist in finding accommodation for the time of training period. The trainee is responsible for the costs of accommodation.
